Glass ok, fine details and customer service lacking

Living room windows had condensation between panes which needed to be replaced. Contacted Master Window Repair based on Yelp and Google reviews. Communication, virtual consultation with Alberto, estimate and scheduling of the job were fine prior to the work being done. The glass itself looks ok; however, the finishing details and customer service once the job was complete are lacking.

There is a rubber portion that goes around the glass and should be tucked into the frame. On all the windows the rubber was cut too short / doesn't fit properly so there is a gap on the corners of the windows where it should be flush. I tried pushing it in, but the rubber isn't pliable. Not sure if this will affect the durability of the windows over time. Contacted the shop twice, sent pictures and description of the issue; it has been over a week, still have not heard back - radio silence. Communication was fine up until this point.

Poor customer service when a business fails to respond to a customer once a job is finished.  I like to support smaller businesses. I have other windows which need replacing, but won't use or recommend a company who doesn't provide good customer service or stand behind its work.

Also, I paid for the job in cash. Customers have the option to pay by card or pay with cash and get a small discount. I wish I had paid with credit card because there is no recourse now.

Best window repair ever. I was told by several window repair people that I would need to change my gigantic single hang window of my brownstone, because the window balance cannot be repaired. Before I spent a fortune on a new window I found Master repair. The guy came over, took one look, and came back two days later and fixed the window balance in less than 30 minutes. The prices are very reasonable, straight forward, and they really know what they are doing. I used them again since, on another window. Don't go anywhere else.

We've hired Master Window Repair for large jobs in our apartment cooperative. Both times they have been excellent, from timeliness to communication to prices to work completed. I really appreciate that they do a virtual visit and estimate first, before coming in person to take measurements. It saves time and effort for both parties. Overall they're the best and I'll definitely hire them again the future!

The work they do is ok, but communication and scheduling could use a lot of improvement. Multiple instances of miscommunication or straight up flakiness on estimate details and scheduling—and always defensive about it, don’t expect an apology! If my building didn’t contract with them, I’d switch companies in a flash.

Good prices and great work! Technicians were professional, but the only downside was how hard it was to pay over the phone.

As someone who does not like to send my credit card number in emails, I had to call 6 times over 3 days to pay with a call in credit card number. While this in itself does not make Master Window Repair a bad company, I felt like it’s important feedback for any future projects I may need done, as well as being cause for consideration for prospective customers.

I do not have pictures but the tenant is very happy with the quality of his windows and reports the noise in his first floor apartment has reduced since installation.
