Toured this place after I was ghosted by another apartment company and it was such a nice experience. The model layout was really nice to walk through. There's tons of space and I felt the bedrooms were laid out very well. We ended up signing with a different apartment complex but would recommend Ventana (at least to tour and check out) - the space and price was very tempting.

This was the worst experience I ever thought possible with renting an apartment. We waited nearly 10 days for them to even start looking at our application. Any time I’d call and ask about it I was blown off. They have temps and new staff in there all the time, it seems like. They were all nice. Martha, not so much. We jumped through every hoop they presented, producing documents, etc. On my MOVE IN DATE they hadn’t even finished the application process and had me getting more documents that day. Then, because my co-lessee - who would only be at the place for a weekend here and there, and was basically just helping me out, and who also provided his tax docs showing several $100k he makes from his family’s business, was denied because he couldn’t show he paid himself every month. The money was there to be had too. So on moving date with movers scheduled, vacation days being taken to move - I’m suddenly without a place to move into!! I went across the street to my 2nd choice and got approved the same day. Turned out to be a better place and less expensive. Now nearly 3 weeks and still no refund of my security deposit, I’ve called 3 times and no one can tell me where my refund is. They say they’ll call back, but they don’t. They already cost me $100s to have to change all my moving plans. This was the MOST unbelievably ridiculous experience. I truly can’t express enough what an incompetent process they have going. I could go on and on - we are still stunned how this place can run on the day-to-day

Management is consistently rude, dismissive, and unhelpful, showing no willingness to listen to or work with their tenants. I would not live here again or recommend it to anyone. They refuse to take responsibility for their mistakes and often shift the blame onto tenants. For instance, we received our renewal letter just 59 days before the lease ended. When we requested a 3-day extension and responded within less than 60 days of receiving the letter(although they gave us the letter late), we were still forced to pay for an additional 2 weeks. Despite our efforts to explain the situation, management remained inflexible and insisted, "it’s in the lease." They handled that situation with an attitude and lack of care although they were the ones who gave it to us late.

We were frequently accused of issues without any investigation from management to verify the claims. It feels as though there is a bias against young African Americans living here. From the beginning, we were treated unfairly, and the residents consistently look and stare at us as if we don't belong. I no longer feel comfortable here and excited to move out.

The property is amazing, quiet, calm, clean, and really really nice and spacious! Ana is my favorite person in the world, I have never lived somewhere that has such a kind, caring, empathetic manager. I love living here!

I just can’t anymore…. If you like having running water then don’t move here. They constantly turn off water for most of the day without warning. I lost count of how many times they have done “fire suppression maintenance”. I actually liked living here for a moment until I realized they shut your water off about 20 times a year.

Just stop turning it off. Figure your water system out already and conduct your maintenance on it once or twice a year. And if you’re going to turn it off, for pity’s sake warn us a day prior.

Update: Received an email from a representative at Ventana asking me to take down my negative review. I can't believe the audacity. The answer is no. This is the rating that you earned by taking advantage of your residents.
Original review: I lived here for almost 4 years and never complained about the old building, squeaky floor boards, leaking sinks, power outages, or ridiculous increases in rent, but now after I move out somehow I still owe them over $700 for normal wear and tear and other damages caused by their own maintenance people. Unbelievable.
Do yourself a favor and find a different apartment complex if you're thinking about living here.

Called in for information Merna was very helpful and patient. She gave me a lot of helpful information. Went into take a tour last minute. Was very impressed. The property is very well maintained. Merna answered all my questions.
