I cannot recommend Berkeley Heights Animal Hospital enough! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the genuine care and compassion the entire staff has for animals. They have been absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs, my Chocolate Labrador Retriever and my Havanese.

Every visit, whether for a routine check-up or something more, has been a positive experience. The veterinarians take the time to thoroughly explain everything, answer all my questions, and make sure my pups are comfortable and happy. It's clear they treat each animal as if it were their own. If you're looking for top-notch veterinary care where your furry family members will be treated with kindness and expertise, look no further than Berkeley Heights Animal Hospital!

My mom brought my dog Benji for an exam today. Benji had a cyst that was growing and shrinking on a day to day basis. The office got us in the next day because I was very concerned that this was a mast cell tumor. It was not! We are so grateful and relieved that it was a benign cyst! Benji got his nails clipped and his cyst aspirated along with a nice exam. He's always a chill dog and he behaved like a champ! The Dr and vet tech who saw him were kind and caring and we look forward to our next visit! Thank you all so much, I'd recommend you to anyone who needs a great veterinary office!
Update, April 30 2025. Benji had a little raised sore under his tail. A cyst. Nothing to worry about.

Called this office Last Saturday as my dog was experiencing a medical emergency. (Closest office to my house.) seemed like the entire staff (Dr included) was more concerned about business hours of operation instead of my dog’s well being. Thankfully, I found another office who despite their busy schedule and short weekend hours, were able to squeeze us in and help us.

From the first second, I felt welcomed. The receptionist answered my call for an appointment right away & had such a friendly voice. The technician & Dr. Susan were very knowledgeable & caring and put me at ease. The visit was quick & efficient so my pup who doesn’t like Vet offices could get out quickly!

I love the people here and this place. You guys were so nice to my chihuahuas. I just don't understand how you missed Chloe's heart murmur. You did wellness checks on her before her dental surgery/spay, which I paid for. She wasn't able to get spayed because of that.

Furthermore I don't understand how you guys could send Honey home without giving her 1 of the 2 vaccines I paid for.

I would love to bring my dogs back but it's a waste of my time and money. More importantly it means that my dogs aren't getting the attention they need here. 🙁 please please please you guys pay attention to the care you're giving to our pets.

I just brought our 8 year old Golden Retriever, Kilala, for her yearly exam yesterday to see Dr Seltzer. Kilala actually likes going there. The staff and vet techs are so polite, kind, and love their patients. Dr Seltzer is terrific and listens to you and doesn’t rush your dog’s exam and answers all of your questions. She also was kind to perform minor surgery while we were there rather than us having to schedule another appointment. All of the vets in this practice have been very good in the 8 yrs we have been going there. I miss the original office staff that knew us, but we will surely be happy with the new staff.

I had my first visit with my lab. She’s a sweet girl and gets very anxious with doctor visits (who doesn’t?!). From the moment we arrived we were taken care of and they made Kona feel very relaxed. Dr. Turnbull was very patient with us and answered all my questions. Thank you for the great experience, we’ll be back!
