I have been waiting for two months now for these guys to correct their mistake and unfortunately have grown impatient now. Feb 16 Reuben and crew came to install my awning. Almost immediately I noticed the pitch of the awning was off. I had asked Reuben to check the level of it, to which he laughed and said “you check it”. I was appalled. How is it that I’m paying this company thousands of dollars for him to be rude and condescending to me? Regardless I checked the pitch and indeed, the pitch was backwards, meaning the water woukd flow backwards. He got very defensive and was arguing that it was ok. It was very clear that He did not want to remedy it. I figured it didn’t matter since we were covering up the sides on top with the plastic lexan. Lo and behold the day it rains all the water is overflowing to the back and coming right in front of my doorstep, rendering the awning completely useless. I have been begging and pleading with this company to please come and fix this and they have been giving me the run around. April 16 was the scheduled day to repair and they flaked on me the day off. With no follow up apt. I am tired of waiting. I need this fixed asap. This is not how to run a business. Also should mentioned they charged me $300 extra day of install for a design we had already discussed prior. The i-beam they installed looks like a child painted it. The posts they put up are not equidistant. Overall not happy and you should do your research. Interestingly enough these guys were not even the cheapest. I am no longer getting answers to texts or calls.

Edit : 4/29/24- Reuben and crew came to install an additional gutter to remedy the incorrect pitch. I have yet to test of this solved the issue will know when it rains.

AWESOME JOB. I explained to Dan, which by the way is so nice my issues with rain coming into my basement and he did the measurements, picked out the color which is beautiful and completed the assignment today. I “HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES “. His staff was respectful and did a great job. I will be using his service again, I love my new awning 💕

Had the awning installed at our back porch March 2024.Happy with the result until it rained & found out a leak right above the backdoor. Sent a video to the company of the water dripping during that rain.Asked the secretary if possible to fix the leak earlier but she schedule a week later when Ruben's job is near our area.Friday they are supposed to come but did not show up.No call either from the secretary nor Ruben.After tired of waiting that Friday,messaged Ruben & he call me back he will come Monday morning. Monday & Tuesday had passed still no show.I called to follow-up & he's not answering his phone. Before this review I read almost same complaint from another customer.
Beware of good reviews before picking a company you hire.It's how they deal with the problem they created that counts.

I love my awning, Brooklyn Awning came by my house to take measurements and within a week the awning was made and installed. Dan was very helpful with all his insights. Their price is good, everywhere else is expensive. You would not regret going with them they do a really good job and their prices are good. I am definitely doing business with them again. And what I love also is that they accept credit cards payment. Don’t hesitate to get your awning from Brooklyn Awning, you will be pleased with their work, product and price.

Dan was excellent! He is very personable, reasonable and fair. He gives you what you want. His ability to create an awning to your specifications will make you happy. Dan and his talented crew were professional, were able to erect my awning within 4 hours. Very sturdy, sealed properly and beautiful looking. No problems, fair price, quick response and he always responded to my questions. I am thinking of using Dan for any future projects. Great workmanship. Five Stars.

The truth is they gave me a very low price, the other companies tried to sell me an inflated price and their work is of quality. Their salespeople are very friendly and helped me make the right decision for each part of the process. I am very happy with the result thanks Brooklyn Awning
