Used this company to replace the upper pane in two windows that had broken seals. The came for a no charge quote took measurements and provided a competitive price. Required 50% down which most glass companies require. Glass came in weeks before the promised date. They called to arrange installation, showed up as promised and installed the windows. All good

As a repeat customer of this business, my most recent experience was quite disappointing. The job was to replace a shower enclosure at one of my nicer rental properties. I got 3 bids and this company was in the middle, cost-wise. I hired them since I had used their glass services before on other homes. The job was a fiasco. They measured and several excuses and months later came out to install. After removing the existing enclosure they realized their measurement were off and needed to re-order the frame and door. Many weeks and excuses later they did the installation but the metals were mismatched as well as mismatched screws were installed. Seriously!? Again a long time later it was done correctly. Total job wait, inconvenience time was 8 months! While we are glad to have the job done there was zero consideration given from the owner/business. Very poor handling of the situation IMO. Beware!

“Owner” is incredibly rude and disrespectful, steer far far away if you want things done right or in line with your quote. They simply do not value their customers time or at all. My home was disrespected, left a mess and what to show for it? A charge higher than quoted. This company took 4 trips to my house to finally finish replacing glass in two showers. Measured wrong multiple times leading to days taken off work for nothing. They’re after nothing but a quick buck and will make excuse after excuse for their errors. I highly recommend doing business elsewhere, and if you’re a customer check your quote vs what you’re charged, they ripped me off.

To the reply: No, I didn’t misread the quote, it specifically says a total. It’s hilarious you’re still blaming everyone BUT yourselves for YOUR mistakes. If a supplier did something wrong shouldn’t you check it BEFORE wasting your customers time? With your attitude and this poor workmanship you won’t be around much longer.

Called Charleston Glass to fix a problem with a window at one of our rentals. They went out there immediately and emailed me an estimate. I looked at the estimate and sent them a reply stating that I wanted the work done and to go ahead and order the part. Unfortunately, I did not read the entire email and didn't realize that for them to order the part, I had to pay half of the estimate. They did not email me back to me to find out how I wanted to pay for the deposit or to offer to take my debit card over the phone to place the order. Later on in the week, I called to see if the part came in and what the status was on scheduling. That is when they told me that since I didn't give them half the deposit, nothing was done. So I then gave them the deposit. I called at the first of the next week to check the status. They told me that it had not come in yet and that they would find out when it would be shipped and give me a call, they never did. So the following week, I called again, just to be told the same thing, again, that they would call the manufacture and find out when it was being shipped and they would call me. Again, they never called me back. This went on for another two weeks. Each time saying they would call me back and not bothering. Finally the part came in after about a month (and me calling each time). They did go out right away and replace the part. Since it was in a rental house (and they were informed of this) I did not know that the part had been replaced. When I checked with the residents there, that is when I found out it had been replaced. Charleston Glass TOOK THE REMAINING BALANCE OUT OF MY ACCOUNT without notifying me by email or phone first. I am lucky that I had the money in there and nothing bounced and not charged a fee. Extremely poor customer service.
