Our 40-home HOA recently hired Executive Coatings and Contracting to repair, power wash, and stain our perimeter fencing, which spans two separate physical locations. In particular, (project manager) Mike Scott was instrumental in securing the contract, as we had several revisions, including changing the specs of stain we chose and pricing two "optional projects" separately for our financial consideration. Mike returned each revision promptly, without a hint of frustration about reworking the bids.
ECC also met our request to offer services to homeowners for our internal and wing fences. Mike worked with our community manager to schedule appointments with 22 owners on two different dates and times, for measuring our fences and preparing individual bids and contracts for each lot. After our deadline to owners, Mike also accepted several tardy owners into the process, which we would never have asked of ECC. He took an interest in the details needed to make it work for the most people, and we are very grateful for that.
Mike even made an effort to juggle the schedule for owner conflicts; my neighbor had a freshly poured sidewalk in their fenced area, and I was consumed in a complete relandscape of my front and back yards, haggling with a most difficult landscaper. Mike made sure that our two homes were serviced only after the sidewalk was cured and my landscapers were gone. I can only imagine the additional chaos and outbursts from the landscaper had I been required to add fence painting to the mix. Without question, he avoided a major issue for me.
Once the project started, the job was done in accordance with the bids, without any difficulties. They worked quickly and professionally, from start to finish. Every worker I observed or interacted with was polite, professional, and took an interest in doing a good job. They were organized, focused, and seemed to know exactly who was responsible for each task. When the work was complete, they returned for a final inspection of the entire perimeter with us. This included bringing two "touch-up painters" to cover any tiny spots that were missed; again, the team was friendly and professional, and team lead Sammy Ramos was personable and attentive to the process. Additional requests for a few minor repairs were cheerfully noted and immediately followed up on.
We have been so impressed with Mike's exceptional willingness to accommodate us throughout the project, and do so in a very easygoing manner, that we have commented on our comfort in calling him for our own personal projects. The community manager noted that she would be recommending ECC to her peers as a preferred provider, and this is largely due to Mike's oversight and patience with us. The teams who completed the physical work were obviously the other essential element in how well this project was completed. I hope that ECC treats these employees well and doesn't take them for granted, as this level of service is not routine.
