The staff and doctor were all nice and thoughtful. We had to take our toddler grand with us because both of us had an appointment and no other person was available to keep her. They gave her a stuffy and treated her like a sweet doll even with her having 1 1/2 tantrums over the hours. They were professional and kind to us.

Part 2: I made the appt. via the EyeCare Associates call desk. The lady inputed both insurances. The Luverne employees didn't realize my information was in the EyeCare Associates system. Apparently, the Luverne employees thought their paperwork entered on arrival was the only documented information. Also, their front check-in receptionist conveniently wasn't at her desk when Kay M. Sport and Adrian Odom caused the disturbance demanding my cash. I was going to ask her why did she accept the second in-network insurance card and why didn't she type it on my paperwork. She should also be investigated. I believe they were going to later claim I never presented the second insurance card to them. The next day, I gave Kay M. Sport my insurance's phone number so she could give them the office's fax number. Kay M. Sport kept pretending to never have enough info from the insurance company. I also requested my medical records with the codes, through an EyeCare Associates rep, from the Luverne office. The records were never sent to my email. I called the Luverne office and checked two hours later. An employee at the Luverne location stated, "We don't believe you'd actually turn them over to the bank. I use to work at a bank." You should also find out which employee was a former bank employee and investigate her. I was denied a copy of my records. The Luverne office doesn't work willingly with your EyeCare Associates reps. They lied to them three times, twice about Kay M. Sport being present in the office and once about sending the documents.
Part 1: I visited the Luverne, Alabama location. My two in-network vision insurance policies were confirmed twice by EyeCare Associates and by each insurance company. As I was leaving Kay Mount Sport, the office manager, demanded $55 cash. She repeatedly stated that she had never heard of my secondary in-network insurance company. She was forceful, loud, and unprofessional. Four patients in the waiting room dropped their heads in embarrassment. [She also stated my contact lenses would be $544 +/- out-of-pocket for the year. Also, she stated that they did have a $250 mail-in-rebate I could use; showing a 6"x10" advertisement flyer. Or at a six months or three months prescription, I would pay a doctor fee plus the prescription. Fishy. Later, the prescription for the contact lenses was filled at $31 for three months with the in-network insurance she denied having ever heard of. The secondary in-network insurance also covers two follow-up visits if medically necessary. Not just for prescription pick-up. By Federal law, I'm owed one year of the prescription.] I insisted that I didn't owe the $55 for the visit. Kay Mount Sport told employee Adrian Odom to look at my secondary in-network insurance card. Adrian was also dramatic, loud, and acted confused by my secondary in-network insurance card. I paid. I had to leave to pick up my son from school. Their actions were deliberate and done with the act to defraud me. As a provider, they obtained my property through false representation. It was theft by deception and insurance fraud. EyeCare Associates billing department emailed, correcting them the next day after my bank's fraud department became involved. Looking back, I should have filed a police report. I did get my money back immediately after they taunted me that morning for hours on how I wasn't getting it back when trying to resolve it directly with them. Ladies, isn't it wild? You don't get to steal and break Federal and State laws.
On my visit, as a new contact lenses wearer they led me to believe I would pay $600 out-of-pocket. In reality, the visit was $0 and the contact lenses are $124 for the year.

Attached is the secondary in-network insurance company that office manager Kay Mount Sport and employee Adrian Odom claimed to have never heard of showing their employer as a contracted provider.
