We installed 3 sets of bi-folding glass doors for a client. We install all brands of doors including brands that are considered “top-tier”.

Our experience with EZ fold-a-Doors is that the frames are durable, made of quality aluminum, and they have a quality paint finish on them. They did not scuff easy, feel flimsy, or appear to be inferior in any way to a Marvin or Anderson product. Highly recommend EZ Fold a door. We had ordered a large 15ft by 8ft fully folding door. The customer service was great and Tom was always available to help with any installation questions. He also FaceTimed us to help resolve issues when my contractor had questions. The doors are very contemporary and a great value.

We have a new build on a bluff overlooking a mountain cove (AKA a canyon in the West) at the edge of the Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee. A million-dollar view, if there was one.

We had seen accordion-folding doors in model homes in our previous residence in North Texas. The perfect thing to have this view available at all times.
We selected EZ-Fold-A-Door from the reviews, price point, online support and general look of the doors. The salespeople were wonderful. Nobody pushing for a sale. They answered questions thoroughly. We ordered our doors (18’x8’) near the end of 2021. With the world economy in near shambles and supply lines practically cut-off at the time, we gave ourselves plenty of lead time in ordering. As it was, the shipment arrived at the port of Long Beach, only to sit there for an extended time. California practically halted all offloads in the port.
Our timing turned out to be just right. The crate arrived when the house was framed and ready to receive the doors.
The day arrives.
Crating that would make a C-130 loadmaster proud. That’s saying something.
There was a mix-up on the fasteners included in the crate. The ones received were for a different style frame. A quick call to the support techs at EZ-Fold-A-Door got me set on the right track. To speed up the process, I went to my local hardware store and bought the correct size screws. Not a big deal. I only remembered this because I have a picture of the packaged screws to show to EZ-Fold support.
When it comes to carpentry, my builder is a perfectionist. The opening was square and to the size promised in our order. Unbelievable how well all of the rail guides went into place. This product comes from South Korea and I trust Korean engineering. Don’t worry about inferior goods which may come from other sources. Everything fit. Everything was square. The builder had laser lines and chalk lines to make sure that everything was perfect.
The door assembly slid into place and everything worked properly. The clearance between the accordion section and the single operating door was right on.
I had watched the online videos several times to familiarize myself with the entire operation. I asked that anyone working on the doors also view the videos. There is good information there. Although everyone claimed that they had watched the videos, I don’t think that they paid much attention. Make sure that everyone watches the videos (WTV). That IS the instruction manual.
Also, I was on the phone or texting the entire time with support who was taking a lot of their time to guide us through the steps. There is a right way and a not-so-right way to stagger the top and bottom rails for easier installation. And, saved us from some heartburn later. Support personnel were always friendly and willing to advise. They want their product to go in properly.

There were moments prior to delivery that I lost faith, particularly when the package arrived in LA but took several weeks to be shipped to San Francisco. However, the quality and value of the product was well worth the wait. The only knit picks I have: it would be good to have some drainage from the pan at the bottom of the door, and the logo / name are hideous (they would do so much better with an easy one word name), however these folks appear to be focused on making sure that customers are happy and they have a great product at a remarkable value.
