I had my doubts about driving 4 hours from PA just to visit a store, but it was well worth it! This store made me feel nostalgic. There were so many cool and unique items, both antique, classic and modern. I bought things I never thought I needed until I saw them, like a small rubber mat that magically peels garlic. Beautifully decorated using antique items like old stoves. My 9-year-old was entertained and did not get bored even though we were there for 2.5 hours one day and about 2 or 3 hours on a second visit the next day. He called his dad for 10 cents in the classic red phone booth. I’m not sure people know that you can actually make a real phone call from the booth! Wonderful visit and experience.

Feels much more touristy than it used to…
Still a wonderful experience, the wood carvings are beautiful and intricately detailed to the point of feeling alive. The selection of sodas was also very fun to browse, just stay away from some of the more… out there… flavors!

Neat Amish store to explore and shop at! They have some historical items and wood carvings of artwork, which is fantastic! They have a little café located in the store. Nice restrooms and samples of chips and such. Very nice customer service from the cashier's. Had a great time.

I went here for the first time just the other day. At no time while I was in the store was I ever greeted or asked if I needed help. I did past several employees and it was kind of a let down. There’s about everything you can think of cooking, and there’s quite a selection of knives and tools and such for the guys. I came here for one reason, and one reason only… the “Petromax” Fire Plunger for $59!
They also have “Darn Tough” socks!

Big, clean store that is divided up in sections. Lots of unique items and huge variety, but the prices are very high, even the clearance items. Seems to be a tourist trap, as it was crowded even on a weekday. Their celebrating their 70th anniversary, although they were bought out by Hartville Hardware a few years ago. Suggest lowering the overpriced items, and you'd have even more regular customers, not just the tourists.

Amazing. The place is 50% store and 50% museum. It's worth coming here just to see the art of Paul Weaver, a local carver.

Extensive selection of useful products many of which are now hard to find. One could easily run a house with no electricity utilizing the products available here. In addition they offer quality camping gear & have a toy section. We spent a couple hours there & were wishing we’d allowed more time.
