Lifetime Auto - Dwight, IL

BUYERS BEWARE!!!

We purchased a 2022 Ford Escape from Lifetime Auto in July 2024. According to benverified.com there were no accidents on the vehicle.

While searching for parts online, using the VIN/Make#, automobileauctioneers.com brought up results of an accident from February 2022. The car was totaled and subsequently auctioned for $2062.

Detailed pictures of the sustained damage were posted on the site, and are included in this message.

When we recently raised the issue with Lifetime Auto, they seemed more concerned about how we found out rather than how to rectify the situation.

They offered to check the car over and ultimately said they found no problems.

Wanting a second opinion, we brought the vehicle to Dwight Ford.

After inspection they found a leaking brake line, a leaking right rear shock, and the rear brakes were both completely shot.

Lifetime Auto offered $200 for the brake line. In the meantime they attempted to install a new part for the window washing mechanism, and proceeded to break said part.

They reinstalled the old part and now window washing fluid is leaking all over our driveway.

Lifetime Auto then revealed that they no longer have any mechanics as they've all quit.

It's hard to believe a local business could be so dishonest just to make a buck.

Cris made the process super easy purchasing a used car. The price was reasonable, and a free warranty was provided for peace of mind.

Chris was awesome! We purchased a car for our 16 year old son today from Lifetime Auto. Our experience was absolutely no pressure and not a typical car high pressure buying experience (vehicle service contract pressure). I commend Lifetime Auto ownership for their leadership as the experience at a dealership is always derived from the top. I highly recommend Chris and Lifetime Auto in Dewight, IL. If you are looking for a pre-owned vehicle, I suggest giving them a look.

I’m a mechanic. I’ve had more than 7 vehicles brought to the shop I work at. Let’s just say don’t go there. As far as a lifetime auto, $900 a week you got a mechanic and not afraid to speak. I do not cut corners

The experience with Lifetime Auto was excellent! Cris was extremely helpful and had a zero pressure attitude when it came to selling. We were in the market for a new company truck and Cris was able to help us out! We are a local business and like to work with other local companies whenever we can! Lifetime was our first stop when looking for a truck and ended up being the only one we needed to make. Great experience and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new vehicle and a great experience!

Cris seemed more passionate about forcing a "5 star review" than making an actual sale. They made a crucial error on important paperwork, agreed on a price and it wound up being way higher at the end and their sales team was less than subpar. I tried them long before they moved to dwight and they tried selling me a car in which the o2 sensor caught on fire and they said "oh that happens sometimes with these models". Would absolutely not recommend using these people for any sort of business.

Lifetime auto is that crazy exception to auto dealerships ! The staff there from Derek , Chris , & Shannon. To the detail center & service center . Is amazing facility filled staff that truly cares about your happiness! They source southern vehicles that all look amazing ! If you drive 10 minutes or 15 hrs Lifetime auto is an amazing experience & place to do business with !
