I recently had the pleasure of working with Pete and his team on a patio build, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! From the initial consultation and design phase, Pete was extremely helpful and engaging. He worked with me on cost, ensuring that the project stayed within my budget without compromising on quality.

Pete’s team of five skilled professionals completed the project in just five days, which was amazing to witness. Their efficiency and dedication were truly impressive. They even went above and beyond by constructing steps that weren’t part of the original plan, and I can’t thank them enough for that extra effort.

The final result is a stunning patio, beautifully redone steps, and a natural gas line firepit with glass rocks that adds a perfect touch of elegance. I highly recommend Pete and his team for any patio projects – their work is top-notch, and their customer service is exceptional!

Pete and his team did a phenomenal job building our patio. They removed an eye sore from our backyard that we called a rotting deck and replaced it with this master piece. I can finally open the curtains that show the backyard when I have guests over. Even though Pete got 5 splinters from the deck during our initial consultation, he stayed longer than the other companies we had requested estimates from to make sure to answer any and all questions we had. He went with us to view the stone in person to make sure we were positive on what we wanted. When the project had started, they came every day and worked from start to finish. When project manager Jose ran into a sump pump drainage line in the way of building the steps that we did not initially see because of the deck, he said no problem he'll redirect the tube himself. Thank you Jose, Jose, Juan, Octavio, and Pete!

Pete Pontikis with Pappas did an absolutely amazing job of designing and installing our new patio, retaining walls and walkways! Pete and his crew were timely, efficient and professional during the entire process! We enjoyed the creativity and thoroughness of Pete’s suggestions for our project. Update: they are willing to work with us to fix what they can, which I appreciate, but I wish things had been smoother from the start, and I still think we over paid for what we received.

Our experience with Pappas was ultimately frustrating and disappointing. We worked with three people for a large outdoor project.

Pete did a good job with the back patio, and it was done quickly and looks good.

Gilberto worked on landscaping for water issues, but he overpromised and underdelivered. He regraded the back yard, but he never put grass seed down (without telling us that wasn't included until it was too late to grow it ourselves for the season). He claimed that he had to lower an existing gutter drain, but it's clear that he never touched it – the ground by the front of the pipe is completely untouched (though he charged us $900 for it). We also contracted him to bury another downspout and direct it to the front yard with a popup drain, but he didn't do that – instead, he just left an open pipe right by the house (which ultimately doesn’t solve the water issue we wanted). When we called him back out, he said that it would be impossible to do the original plan because of tree roots. While that may be the case, we never would have signed on for what he did do (which doesn’t match our original contract at all – he charged us $2500 for a front yard popup which we never received).

Israel worked on our concrete porch and front steps, but he kept adding costs that should have been included originally (adding thousands to an already expensive job). He did a sloppy job with leaves in the wet concrete, marring the surface. Not only that, but he left the area filthy, failed to put the furniture back, and lost our porch swing hooks. When we called him on this, he first accused us of lying, then tried to say that it was our fault (though he eventually replaced the hooks after we provided photographic proof).

Overall, it was just an awful and insulting end to a project that took months longer and cost thousands of dollars more than expected (and the final still doesn’t match the original contract).

As part of a major addition and home renovation, we hired Pappas to do our hardscape and landscape design. I don't know that I can put into words how highly we think of the quality of their work, their project management, and their people. I have never seen a crew that works harder or that is so meticulous about making things perfect. They even cleaned up each night before they left, which blew me away. Pete was there every day checking on our project and making sure I knew what was happening. Gilberto beautifully designed our front yard, patiently answering a million questions I had. Of all the work we've done to our house, what Pappas has done has made the biggest impact and made us fall back in love with our house. Hire them. You won't regret it.
