Living out west where everything is dry and brown, we decided to go on a drive to see the beautiful countryside. We unintentionally rolled into this beautiful little town. We had no idea there was a quilting capital of the world. The shops were very cute, with good upkeep. Penny's was our favorite. Amazing staff and quite a large selection. We dabble a little in sewing and couldn't help but buy some stuff. Absolutely loved our experience here.

We had a group from Iowa and Wisconsin come to Missouri Star Quilt for the week. While there we had a couple of days that we wanted to buy the deal of the day and it was not available. Jude went and verified they had some in the warehouse and had some brought to the store for us to pick up the next day. When we arrived the deal and not been brought to the store. He messaged another associate and was able to get everyone taken care of. He went above and beyond for our group and he all appreciated it. He even let us take a group picture with him in it.

So much fun! Love going to all of the stores, staff is great! No wonder people are coming from all over the world! The fabric is easy to find and employees go out of their way to help you. I’ve also ordered online and had no problems whatsoever. I’ve been shopping here for over four years. As far as price, I value the ease of purchasing designer fabric in person.

I discovered Missouri Star Quilt Company on You Tube and, while its true they have great tutorial videos and a good selection of precuts, I'm better off purchasing my fabric elsewhere. It seemed like a great place to do business but I'm very disappointed with the quality of their service. My first order with them was very slow to arrive. My second and third orders were cancelled by them due to what they called a pricing error. Each day they post a Daily Deal and both times that I tried to purchased the Daily Deal they later contacted me and said they had made a mistake and could not sell the fabric at that price. In each case I had already received a confirmation email and my account had been debited for the order. Of course, I felt they should honor the price at that point, but they refused to send the order and said they would refund my money. The first time this happened I was unhappy but decided to give them a second chance. They blew it. I'm still waiting for my credit. I have lots of choices for purchasing sewing supplies. Will shop at local stores where once I've paid for an item I can actually have it!

I recently visited the MSQC and I also have ordered from them by phone and in both cases had great experiences. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. I was also impressed by their fabrics, more options for what I was looking for then what I have been able to find in my big, local fabric stores here in California. I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Oh and their new Quilters Retreat is beautiful!

Super friendly clerks, sometimes the cutting table wait can be long. The issue is that with each type of fabric in a different store shopping sends you all over town. It’s a place to go see but ordering online is definitely easier than shopping there.
