We had new fiberglass windows and sliding patio doors measured, ordered and installed by Pinnacle. They also reset a couple of windows and a door for us, which they said had been improperly installed. They were good upfront and made me feel like I was going to get quality work. They were saying all the right things and the installation manager came out to walk me through the installs and answer any questions I had. Great!

Months later, the work started. Throughout the job they had to show up later or leave earlier than planned because another crew needed help. This became relevant as the end of the week approached and they started rushing. Throughout the job, I had to keep reminding them what they hadn't finished yet. Two windows in the garage wouldn't have gotten caulked if I hadn't said something.

The doors and resets that got left to be done later in the week suffered the most. The patio door was installed significantly out of level and wasn't closing smoothly. They didn't have time to get to reset the old door, and would have to come back.

When they come back the next week, they get the new door *closer* to level, but not perfect. It didn't fix the issue with the door closing, so I guess they just tried beating it/jamming on the sash and door, pushing things in, putting screws into places they're not supposed to go to try to "force" the sash to stop hitting the door when it closes? That's not gonna work, cause fiberglass doesn't flex much, and if it does it probably means it's about to break. So yeah, a notch was broken out of the door fiberglass. There were scuffs in the factory paint all over the door. It no longer locked; my wife actually noticed this and I had to point it out. I had to go back behind them and tighten things down. I had to adjust latches for the screen door so it would actually close and lock consistently. The door was actually worse off than before they came, other than the leveling issue.

Now the old door... granted, they were dealing with a prior installers bad work/sizing, but they beat the crap out of this thing. I literally walked in on them trying to kick the door into place to make it level! A grown man on the ground kicking the bottom corner of this door with everything he had. The crew leader is yelling at the guy to stop cause he sees me there watching. I had to stop them and get them to remove the door and fix what was actually blocking it.

At the end of it all, what we were left with was inconsistent, messy and/or half-finished work. There's caulk all over the place. I email the install manager with pics and how I'm unhappy with the results, the way the crew was working, the rushing, the mistakes, etc. Days go by with no response, so I call. He gets on the phone and starts telling me I agreed to this and that and he told me the old door would be difficult. Yeah, that's true, but I didn't agree to the new door being busted up, my stuff being kicked and pounded on, and messy caulk all over the place because your crew is rushing all the time. So they send two guys out to clean stuff up a bit and tell me this new guy will review and address everything. They tell me they're gonna do a warranty claim on the door that's not closing right and has all the damage. They put some touch up paint on it in the meantime. They remove some messy caulking on the old door. Of course, I've got a job of my own and can't be there with them all the time, so I missed stuff before they took off.

I go around to look at stuff again b/c their drywall guy is coming by to do some repairs. I notice windows on the north side of the house that look like they were caulked in the dark by a blind man. The bathroom casement window has a 1/8" gap under it that you can see daylight through (this should be sealed with foam or resting on the frame/sill). The bedroom window has a broken sash joint (too much force applied during install). There's still the issues with the new door to address and no comms from them on when that will happen.

Could say more, but I'm at the text limit. Just look at the pics.

Pinnacle did a great job for us. We needed a new patio slider and a new window in our basement. The door is gorgeous from both the inside and the outside. Installation was done efficiently and with good customer service. They come to your home and measure to be sure the new windows are sized correctly to fit. The installers took great care to cover all furniture near the patio door location so as to be sure there was no damage to the inside of the home. Highly recommend.

I had high hopes for this company. They came with high regards from my general contractor, had a five star rating Google rating and great Business Bureau Report. However, my experience with them was less than stellar.

For starters, they needed to come back six times to take measurements on the windows and a door. Since they needed access to the interior of my house, this required me to take time off work so I could be here for the measurements. You would think after six times, the measurements would be correct. Wrong! The day of the window installation, the door was four inches too short. So, this meant I needed to take more time off work so they could come back and reinstall the door. When they reinstalled the door, they did not have the correct strike plate. The worker told me he would come back out the following day at 4:30 pm to place the correct strike plate. I once again had to leave a few minutes early from work, and he did not show up. I never heard from him again.

Secondly, as part of the window and door replacement process, they were to fix the exterior painting due to removing the trim. When the workers arrived to reinstall the door, they had no idea what I was talking about and told me I needed to call the office and find out if Pinnacle contacted the painters. Long story short, they did not contact the painters. This is after I had sent several text messages asking if the painters were going to be here the same day as the door reinstall. I also sent Pinnacle the painter colors several times to pass along to the painters. They did send the painters out the same day, but this is after I got extremely angry with them and told them that I can't keep taking time off work for them to do their job correctly.

Next, communication between Pinnacle and their sub contractors was sorely lacking. Pinnacle would tell you they spoke with their sub contractors, but when I would reach out to the subcontractors, they would tell me that they had not heard from anyone from Pinnacle.

Finally, they left a mess in my back yard. They left part of the old trim laying in my yard as well as pieces of the new trim. They also used my garden hoses and never rolled them back up after they used them.

To conclude, I do not recommend Pinnacle Windows and Restoration. Do your research, and hire a more reputable company. Again, I was extremely disappointed with this company.

Disappointing Experience with Pinnacle

I'm writing this review to share my experience with Pinnacle Windows, which I hired to replace the windows in my home. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations and was riddled with unprofessionalism and miscommunication.

Communication Issues:
From the outset, the process was plagued by poor communication. The sales rep Jaden repeatedly required follow-up for updates on quotes, often leaving our questions unanswered for weeks.

Scope of Work Misrepresentation:
The sales rep provided specific details and promises regarding the project scope, only to have the installation team contradict his statements. This included discrepancies about drywall repairs, which were initially discussed but then refused by the installation team, and exterior window trim finishes that left the installation in an unfinished condition.

Missed Site Visits and Measurement Errors:
Repeated requests for pre-installation visits were ignored. Concerns were further amplified when the windows arrived in the wrong size, necessitating last-minute adjustments on-site. This error, caused by the contractor's inaccurate measurements, could have been avoided with proper planning.

Unauthorized Change Orders and Disrespectful Behavior:
On the installation day, the contractor continued the last-minute adjustment work without our knowledge and authorization and attempted to charge us unexpected fees at the end of the day.

Unkempt Work Environment and Safety Concerns:
Following the installation, the work areas were left in a deplorable state. Construction debris, food scraps, and most concerningly, broken glass were scattered around the yard. We requested the crews come back and clean up since they left our home in such a mess.

Quality Concerns:
Despite poor nighttime visibility, the contractor insisted on finishing the job the same day, compromising the quality with the sealant work. The poor sealant work required us to take time to complete touch-ups and repairs to the work. To top it off, a broken window went unnoticed and unreported until we followed up for repairs.

Warranty Woes and Upselling Attempts:
Our requests for warranty information were met with little to no response. After such a disastrous experience, the company's attempt to upsell us on a front door replacement felt insensitive and tone-deaf.

Overall:
Our experience with Pinnacle was deeply disappointing. The lack of communication, misrepresented scope of work, unapproved changes, disrespectful behavior, and safety hazards left us feeling incredibly frustrated. I strongly recommend seeking alternative companies.

I had a lot of hail damage to my home back in May. Pinnacle was the vendor I chose to replace my windows and back slider. From the very beginning Kenny & Alyssa were great to provide a quote and once the windows arrived Larry did a great job coordinating the job. The workers on site were great. Viktor & David were exceptional to ensure everything was done correctly. I would highly recommend Pinnacle for sure. Thanks!
