Very thorough on the walkthrough before beginning the job. Provided a very fair estimate and their portfolio of previous jobs completed is what really impressed me to select this company. All of those working on the project showed up in a timely manner every day and made sure the debris was cleared before leaving in the evening. The owner visited the project with his team periodically and checked with me to disuss any changes recommended/required. Quite pleased with the outcome. When I am ready to do my next project will definitely call on them again.

After spending months trying to find a reliable and honest contractor I was thankfully able to find Danny and team at The Texas Builder. My project was to finish the renovation of my home office closing in the walls, installing some french doors and cabinets. Some of the previous work I'd done myself made things a little challenging for the team, but they worked through everything and did an amazing job. As always things come up and change, but Danny did an excellent job keeping me informed of things as they came up so they weren't a surprise. If I had any regrets it's that I haven't used Danny and team in the past to do other projects at my house. Definitely planning to work with Danny and the Texas Builder again on other upcoming projects.

After getting several bids on a deck for a new house I was having built, we decided to go with this company based upon the bid Justin Webber sent us on Nov 13, 2018. Though at the time I explained to them that we hadn't closed on the house yet so the exact install date was contingent on closing going as planned.

Which, unfortunately, it didn't. Our close date got pushed back from the 28th to the 7th.

After speaking to Justin on November 28th we set up a meeting to sign papers and provide the 50% down he said we needed to get the project going. That meet up eventually got set for December 4th with a start date, at that time, for the 18th (though it eventually got pushed to the 19th).

The first issue occurred on my end when we forgot to get a cashiers check for the amount they needed. I informed him of this issue at which point he said "let's skip this week" because he had a lot going on, but reiterated to me that it wouldn't impact the state date of the 19th.

Then on Sunday Dec 16th, Justin texted me asking if we could meet on the 19th to discuss the deck and collect the check. Though at this point he informed me our project wouldn't be starting that day, it would be pushed back until after New Years, but they had "zero jobs set up after New Years."

I wasn't happy and at this point I told him we'd think about it. Though I later texted asking him if we decided to stick with him when would we actually get the project installed. He wrote back saying he was still traveling back to Austin and would let me know.

After a few hours, I asked him if he was still going to be able to come out on the 19th to do the paperwork and get the check. He wrote back that he "never got a conformation on that. I assumed it was a no upon the back and forth exchange we had Sunday."

Then on Dec 19th at 9:26 am I get a call from Justin telling me that the bid he had sent me over a month ago was wrong, he apparently massively underquoted us, and they were pretty booked up in January so we should look for another company to do our deck.

I immediately hung up. I then texted him to let him know that I would be writing a review on every rating site I could find detailing this nightmare and what a fraud I felt his company was.

It was at this point Justin seemed to be threatening me by suggesting doing so could constitute defamation and used the fact that we hadn't signed a contact as his defense. I reminded him that the reason why we hadn't signed a contract was because he nixed our meeting earlier in the month entirely when I forgot to get the cashiers check. We could have easily met up with him, but since he assured me that skipping that meeting wouldn't impact our project, I took him at his word.

Then he actually accused me of trying to take advantage of him saying, "My theory is that you realized I made a mistake in the quote and wanted to get it locked up ASAP and that is why you were persistent while I was in the middle of the ocean (he was on a cruise that I had no idea about until I texted him one day asking if we were still on for the 19th.) Never in my life have I been accused by a business who had just screwed me of trying to take advantage of them.

He also repeatedly seemed to suggest that me wanting concrete details and install dates about this project was somehow an odd request.

Then to add a little bit to the odd/creepy factor, Justin apparently went to my LinkedIn profile after all of this. Why? I have no idea.

This has been an absolute nightmare. Falling back on the contract not being signed when Justin was the main reason it wasn't (again, telling us he was too busy to meet until right up until the install date he had told us) is a shady excuse to avoid fulfilling your word and bid as a company. They clearly chose to screw us over rather than take the "hit" financially and keep up their end of the deal all based on the fact we hadn't signed the contract -- mostly because Justin was too busy/out of town to meet to do that. Our mistake was trusting him after that cancellation to follow through on the 19th.

They built a privacy fence for my home. Great prices but even better quality of work. Their work crew was also very professional and always made sure they kept the worksite clean so our five-year-old would not have any chance of getting injured.
