I searched for two months before scheduling estimates and high quality product that Thermacraft has can last up to 30-40 years depends on severity of climate so we decided we did not need higher cost fiberglass windows to outlive us.Thermalcraft worth every cent and came to near half the cost of fiberglass. Superb high quality sturdy vinyl windows and high quality installation. Doors are fiberglass and Beautiful choices of designs- have received compliment by everyone who has come to the house. Our vintage home in Hoffman Estates is from 1960 and had original windows and front door so was sorely due for replacements. We knew zero about windows and I painstakingly researched and it was scary because it is large investment along with other updates we needed on our budget. I scheduled three quotes- two well known high end "fiberglass" window/door companies that have financing. I scheduled Thermalcraft also based on searching materials and reviews. Fiberglass products are great and last up to 50 years HOWEVER consider cost, budget, your age, years you have left in home-not necessarily worth cost. Further Thermalcraft customer service is unmatched. We had a problem with door knobs and they made sure it was followed up on and fixed. The owners Jim, Pat, Barry who I dealt with all responsive and take pride in the work.
The search time I put in was worth it - thank you!

My husband and I had multiple calls and visits with different companies to replace our windows in Villa Park - all were SO PRICEY and pushy, we felt defeated and even thought we'd have to go with one of the big names.
After countless recommendations, I spoke with Barry from Thermalcraft. He came over, did not put us through a 3h appointment like the other guys and was incredibly polite, nice and pleasant to talk to.
Barry and his crew were able to give us a very affordable price for the windows and we won't even have to waste thousands of dollars on interest like at the other places.
The job was performed in one day! Barry's crew came in, changes all of our windows about 1 month after we signed the contract and they left my house sparkly clean afterwards!

This was first time door replacement on our 1954 home that we bought 4 years ago. I did not know the doors can be so expensive. I had multiple companies come out and do the estimates. Chose Thermalcraft because of the competitive bid and raving reviews. I was kind of bummed of the long wait. I got the quote on 9/13/16 and got the door installed 12/06/16 - almost 3 months - but all of the companies told about the same timeline.
Dave and other man arrived and had some concerns about the pipe overhanging the door frame - it looked very challenging, but they assured me that they will make it work as they have been doing door installs for years. I stayed home and was able to peak at the progress here and there and 4 hours later our new basement door was installed and trimmed. Crew even made custom trim on the inside of the unfinished basement.
Despite the challenges, crew finished the job and made everything work. Cleaned up after themselves and handed me the keys. We are really happy with the new door - no more critters coming in through rotten door jambs!

For our first window buying experience - I am grateful we went with Thermalcraft! As a family-owned business who have been around for decades- they have been friendly, understanding, and highly professional. Barry came over for the initial measure, and was patient with us as we asked question about other future projects. He printed us a quote and immediately bought it on the spot. The window came in 4 weeks quicker than estimated - which was perfect given our project timeline. Installation was quick, clean, and perfect (our current window frame was rotted and weird) and Frank, who installed, did a great job! Neighbors began asking during the install who we went through because the window looks so good! I absolutely LOVE the window (that's an understatement), and I cannot wait to do the other massive window we have. We plan on using them for multiple doors and a siding project in the future.

Talk about an honest company/person. Barry showed up early to give me a quote for my window replacement. My house is very unique, on a steep hill, and the windows I needed replacing are very hard to access. He was honest and told me this wasn't a project they could tackle. I appreciated the honesty vs trying to tackle a job and not doing a good job. He then stuck around and have me his advice and recommendations. I can't speak on their work but if its anything like Barrys character, I would have worked with them in a heartbeat.

Thermalcraft has been phenomenal to work with! We just had our back patio sliding door installed and it look fantastic. The wait time was about 12 weeks because of the size of the door and supply chain, but it was well worth the wait and the value.
