My experience with this place was highly unsatisfied. Our first day moving in no one was at the property, it was cold wet and rainy. We had to wait a couple hrs for someone to give us our keys to move in. Keep in mind we were there since 9am and didn’t get the keys until almost 2pm. We tried calling no one would pick up we called other max properties but no one was really able to help. Now that we are moving we are having a similar issue. I went to turn in the keys and the person who is in charge of the finances was in a meeting, then I came back around 1:30pm and she was on her lunch then I also tried calling several times and there phone was out of service. They are charging us a ridiculous high amount due to “them” saying we didn’t notify them 90 days prior to moving out but we DID however give them a 30 day notice. They have charged us $487 for the move out charges but we got confused cause we got a notice saying have to pay 1775. That’s at least the estimate but now we got an email saying it 1242. We know we are paying a penalty we were just really confused here

I am so disappointed with Maxx Properties specifically. The apartment was great, maintenance is great. Most of the office staff is nice but after being an on time resident for 3 years, I had to unexpectedly break my lease for safety reasons. They assured me I can set up a payment plan that would help. I got my $2400 bill. My payment plan options are 3 payments of $800 or $1200 down $300 a month for 4 months, etc. Who can afford this payment plan? Now, I'm struggling to figure out how to get my new apartment for my child and I due to worries of paying this off and wanting to keep my credit strong. If this goes into collections I'm screwed and won't be able to rent anywhere after working hard my whole life and never being late on rent anywhere. I am so stressed out and I feel like I got screwed over.

OK, employees in the leasing office are great. They helped me and my wife navigate the online application. We live here now. It is a quiet clean apartment building and as a new tenant I plan to help keep it that way.

The office staff and maintenance are top notch. They are professionals and extremely nice. On the other hand, Maxx Properties are very consistent with price godging. You are guaranteed whether if you live there for a long time, paying your rent on time and considerate to your fellow neighbors your rent will increase substantially. I will never rent a Maxx Property Apartment again. By the way, due to Nevada laws they are not animal friendly when it comes to dogs. Grass removed hot rocks as a replacement. There is a small dog part you have to fight and clean up prior to using.

The apartments are nice enough, they are definitely an upgrade from what you’d find in California. That being said, I would give this place a 5 star rating had it not been for the following. The noise from the neighbors partying at 2am is apparently fine or even til 4am where they have their music blasting. The walls are paper-thin and so you hear a conversation from the neighbors at a normal tone. That just makes the arguing even more so well known. It’s apparently fine for that to be happening and so is the partying; but our son that is a newborn that cries when he’s hungry doing what children do is apparently something the office feels needs to be written up. A child’s basic needs to communicate at a rudimentary level such as a newborn. Please help this make sense. The floors covered by carpet have not been properly maintain as you can hear the creaks as well, not to mention areas in the floor that are bowing. The cabinets that are apparently new are not, there’s bowing and not sufficient support or haven’t been replaced. Things that have been noted on walk in have not been corrected. The staff are friendly when you are moving in yet incredibly rude after the fact. There’s two managers that live on the property that are the worst offenders when it comes to the abrasive attitude. Please explain to us when we pay for our apartments to be maintained that you’d expect them to be fixed and maintained for the amounts you charge your tenants. This isn’t a crack at maintenance because it’s obvious they are trying hard to maintain what they can but lack the support from their management. The flexibility in rent payments is nice and so is the flexibility with the deposit. Great Value for the space, yet you’d expect better customer service, and a better standard of behavior, let alone common sense that is severely lacking.

I have a unique experience with Ventana Canyon Apartments. I was the IT friend of an older gentleman who could not have done what was necessary to gain an apartment here. Everything was done on his first laptop. Michele from the office was an angel. She walked not only my friend, but myself through several of the steps. She always called us back and was available when we popped in one day. He is all moved in and very happy with his new home. Thank you!

So I went to see about renting an apartment, I waited for 30 minutes no one even noticed I existed. Even a women working in the office didn’t say anything. Lousy customer service. They also advertise they have covered garages which is why I went there, but I didn’t see any. A really good place to stay away from.
