We recently bought our new pool from Lance at Watts Home
Center and overall, it’s been a great experience!

From the start, Lance was helpful and patient, answering all our questions(several and I’m sure stressful on his end) and guiding us through the options. He gave us all the options and recommendations and allowed us to work within our budget while getting everything we needed.

Installation was the only small issue, the main being the weather(which isn’t controllable) but Lance made sure each issue was cleared up. The pool looks amazing, and we’re looking forward to many years of enjoying this pool because the quality of materials used by their chosen manufacturer.

I waited almost six months to write this review in case I had any problems needing to be addressed, as I wanted it to be accurate and objective. My husband and I contracted with Watts for a $50k full kitchen remodel late last spring. This was a first for us and the biggest project we’ve ever done. We worked directly with the owner and the designer, along with various contractors in their employ. I must say the work was nothing short of outstanding. Every expectation that was set, especially as it relates to timing of the project, was spot on. I admit I was nervous when I had to pay a deposit when I signed the contract, but I needn’t have worried. Our cabinets, quartz countertops, French doors, and various other items were custom to our remodel so providing some funds up front was completely reasonable. They did a great job start to finish, including moving a load bearing wall, moving plumbing and gas lines, adding a new exterior window to a brick wall, and making a closet where none previously existed. We had a minor hiccup with a door that was installed that was not what we wanted and they immediately rectified the issue by ordering and installing the correct door. There was another issue with our existing flooring and they went out of their way to make it right for us, despite the fact that the floor issue had nothing to do with them and was not their fault (another company installed it a few years ago and we wanted to keep it, even though our floor plan was changing with our design). The photos will show the difference between the before and after. All in all, if I had another major project/renovation, I would absolutely contract them again. They are wonderful people who go out of their way, every step of the way. Thank you Candy and Maddie (and everyone else) for everything!

A+ Experience from Start to Finish!

The team at Watts is made up of true grill masters with a passion for what they do—and it shows. They took the time to understand our family’s needs and helped us find the perfect Napoleon grill. The service was absolutely impeccable, and the delivery process couldn’t have been easier. It’s rare these days to find folks who care this much about their craft and their customers. We couldn’t be happier with our purchase and will definitely be returning for all our future home needs. Highly recommend!

Very helpful and better pricing than Lowe’s on lumber for our tree house project. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ll be back to this locally owned business.

Phew!! Lack of follow up, missed appointments, messages left on read, it has taken weeks to get this project moving in the right direction!!

The cabinets we ordered from Watts were three weeks late, BUT, when they did come in and were installed, we realized that the additional Rev a Shelf shelving and drawer insert we ordered were not what we had in mind. Lesson learned!! During the design process, the specific pieces were not shown to us, but we chose to put our trust in the designer because she knew what we were talking about. Not doing that again! 🤪

The fact that we were unhappy with the Rev a Shelf pieces was communicated to our contractor the day of installation as well as to Watts and the designer managing the project. The Rev a Shelf pieces that we purchased were nearly $1,000 on their own.

Four weeks after the cabinet install, Watts finally let me know that I cannot return the Rev a Shelf items because we no longer have the packaging.

Again, none of this was communicated on the front end and now we’re left with Rev a Shelf pieces that we can’t use. Watts suggestion was that I attempt to sell them on Facebook marketplace and that she’d had customers who had had positive outcomes previously.

We have spent $25,000 with Watts. The most disappointing component is that they’re unable to own any of their shortcomings. They have told me that it was my responsibility to have known the boxes weren’t to be thrown away and since they didn’t do the cabinet install, they had no responsibility in the matter.

After I continued to explain my concern and frustration, they did offer me a 1/3 discount on the Rev a Shelf pieces BUT I would have to bring the items back to them for their re-sell.

Also during our home remodel, we placed an order for interior doors through our contractor. During our visit to Watts to select the door style and hardware, we outlined the number of doors that we would need to order and we were on our way. Only yesterday, three weeks since the door order, did Watts designer realize that we had placed the door order through the contractor. Unfortunately, the gentleman handling the doors did not communicate to our designer that the order had shifted.

Today I was threatened with a lien if payment is not made. Up until two days ago, I hadn’t even received a bill from them and now they want to threaten a lien.

After continued attempts to get our designer to understand our perspective, she asked that I not contact her anymore and explained that she does not want our business. I did include a screenshot for reference.

Moral of the story is…….. If you wanna pay 20% more and be treated as if you don’t matter, go to Watts Home Improvement in Oldham County.

I have been to watts many times throughout the years, I am someone who loves to do all sorts of home projects! They have amazing gravel that I used for my potholes in my driveway and cement that I used to make my sidewalk to my front door ( and they load it into your car for you !) and wood that I have used to build my flower beds ! The staff is so kind and always willing to help and answer any questions! I will continue to go to watts !
