As a professional contractor, I work with various window suppliers, offering my clients a range of options based on their needs. I am not exclusive to any one brand, as there are numerous products on the market. Today, I visited the Windowrama on Route 110 in Farmingdale, NY, to get a quote, but my experience was disappointing.

I requested two variations for the same project, but it seemed like too much trouble for the representative assisting me. He responded with an attitude that was less than professional. After asking for my company information, he noticed that most of my orders come from the Bellmore branch, which only seemed to make things worse. Rather than helping me with the custom window sizes I needed, he tried to push me toward standardized options, asking for window series and codes instead of offering real assistance.

It felt like he either didn’t want to put in the effort for a custom order or was only accustomed to dealing with standard windows. Regardless, I left feeling frustrated and unhappy with the level of service I received. Windowrama may offer quality products, but today’s experience showed a lack of professionalism in customer service. I expect to be treated with respect, whether I spend a lot or a little, and this certainly wasn’t the case today.

While I may return for the products, I hope that the customer service improves so that all contractors and customers receive the respect and assistance they deserve.

I called farmingdale store for some help with my French doors going to the yard. Bob picked up the phone and went out of his way to help us and we went into store and helped us with a set screw and tool to fix our door. Yes it is now not going to fall off it works perfectly. Thank you bob.

Recently purchased a therma-tru door with sidelights from the Farmingdale location the rep Vinny was extremely professional and helpful answered all our questions received the door on time.

In this day and age it is hard to find people who will go above and beyond to help you. However, Robert Schein, in the Farmingdale location, did absolutely that.

Time is not on my side as I have a very short time frame of when I need to get my windows. So Robert showed me various options of how I can make my dream window with in-stock windows. He was designing and creating pieces that I never thought of. He gave me great ideas. He showed me many different options, and spent a long time answering all of my questions.

Whenever I buy anything, I literally check 5 different stores and compare prices. However, Windowrama was the first and last window store I went to.

I placed my order with Bob. He made me feel that comfortable. He was super thorough, so honest, and kind, that I felt fully confident in my purchase.

Bob was not only patient and knowledgeable, he is just a super nice guy. If you ever need windows, ask for Robert Schein in the Farmingdale location.

Too often consumers take the time to complain, but not often enough do we recognize when someone does an amazing job.

Windowrama, please recognize Bob - he deserves it. Thank you. 🙂

STAY AWAY!!!! THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE!!! It started with us walking through the door at the Farmingdale location! They pretty much ignore you when you walk in. We had to wait a good 30 minutes before we were helped. That should have been a sign to run for the hills then but I was desperate because Lowes and Home Depot doors where backordered. I ordered a door from WindowRama and it has been a hot mess dealing with these people. Dan Gunyon took our order, never gave me paperwork because he couldn't figure out how the printer worked. He was supposed to email me my order details and NEVER did. The door was supposed to take 3 weeks to come in and they never notified me that it was there. When I inquired about my door they couldn't find my information in their system and then when they finally did find my door it was at a completely different store location! When my contractor was finally able to install the door, it was damaged and the order was put in wrong. I was suppose to have a door that opened to the right and he placed the order for a door that opens to the left. The door is also damaged! Again had to call WindowRama and again they couldn't find the order. Provided them with a number that was on our door and they finally located the order. Was told by a store associate that the only person that could help us with the order was Dan. We called Dan only for him to tell us that he was driving and couldn't assist us for another 2 hours because that's when he will be in the office. We have contractors waiting to resolve the issue that we are paying by the hour. We tried calling the district manager only to get the run around again. Very unprofessional company that has ZERO customer service. STAY AWAY they are HORRIBLE!
